Power Rankings

1.

Minnesota

Still the clear #1.  Is this the final big push we will see from this amazing group of players?  Or do they all still have enough talent left to make a couple more runs.  For now, their eyes are on adding one more ring to the collection.

2.

NewOrleans

Still have a nice lead in the division.  They are going to have to battle all the way to the end to keep it.  No doubt there’s enough here to return the the World Series, but it won’t be easy.

3.

Charlotte

Regardless of if they end up a wild card team or the division champs, they’ll be the team to beat in the post season.  The champs will be favored until somebody knocks them off.

4.

Colorado

They’ve slowed down just a little.  The pitching will be the only thing that gets in the way of them and a World Series appearance.  For now, they lead the AL but nothing is guaranteed.

5.

SantaFe

It’s safe to say the rebuild was a success.  One of the top teams in the league looks to continue their strong play down the stretch and bring it into the playoffs.

6.

SanFrancisco

Slowly inching closer to Colorado.  The Rocks proved last year just how talented they are and taking them out will be no easy task again this year.

7.

Hartford

Playing as well as anyone lately.  Hartford is destined to be a wild card team but that does not mean they can’t challenge anyone.  They have high expectations come playoff time.

8.

ElPaso

Still in the hunt for the division, and also in good position for a wild card spot.  They got a taste of success last year and are looking to do much more this time around.

9.

Fargo

The 3rd NL North team to crack the top 10.  Unfortunately for Fargo, they currently find themselves on the outside of the playoffs.  A long way to go but they need to start surging to keep up with Hartford.

10.

Louisville

A nice lead in their division is still in tact.  Nothing is guaranteed still but with Philadelphia still struggling it appears Louisville should hold on.

11.

Salem

Still rebounding from the slow start.  Salem has the talent equal to the rest of the NL it just doesn’t show.  Another team that can’t be taken lightly come playoffs.

12.

Vancouver

A strange place for Vancouver.  Clearly the dominant force is gone and they are going to be challenged all the way to the end if they want to edge into the playoffs.

13.

KansasCity

Still recovering from their awful start.  Kansas City is doing all they can to fight back in to a playoff spot.  There are a lot of AL teams hoping they are unsuccessful.

14.

Rochester

Another addition of a top pitcher.  Rochester is still looking to gain some breathing room in their quest for their first playoff appearance.

15.

LittleRock

Struggles of late will likely mean another missed post season.  Little Rock isn’t sure what to do to finally put themselves back in it.

16.

Augusta

Even with Vancouver, it will be interesting to see if they can continue to stick around.  It;s been a long time since this team saw success so look for them to give it everything.

17.

SanJuan

Right on Rochester’s heels, it’s likely going to come down to the end.  Going to be a tight race for San Juan if they want to return to the playoffs.

18.

NewBritain

Still in the hunt, but not playing their best lately.  The Bulldogs will have to step back up their game if they want to challenge Louisville some.

19.

Arizona

The hot start has sizzled, but they’re still in it.  Arizona will need to return to their earlier form if they want to challenge Salem.

20.

LasVegas

They’re playing well with what they have.  It’s a young team so expect more from them in coming years.

21.

Columbus

A better team than they’ve had in recent years.  Hopefully they continue to progress in future seasons.

22.

Anaheim

A disappointing season in Anaheim.  Time to start looking towards improving for next year.

23.

Chicago_1

The time is soon for this team to boom.  If they can be competitive with this payroll, imagine when they start to spend.

24.

Philadelphia

Underachieving is the word of the year for the Phillies.  They’re expected to be a lot better, but something just is not going right in Philadelphia.

25.

Albuquerque

New management is still planning towards the future.  A solid draft was a good start.

26.

Cleveland

Shouldn’t be too much longer before we start seeing success in Cleveland.  We’ll see where they go from here.

27.

Atlanta

The management appears to still be on vacation.  The players are beginning to get tired, and frustrated.

28.

Trenton

Still building up, so nothing too much to report in Trenton.

29.

MexicoCity

Word on the street is the Rookie team could be the Big Leaguers.    While management sets that up, the fans continue to look ahead towards future achievement.

30.

Cincinnati

A young team without much expectation.  They knew it would be a tough year but they say it will be worth it.

31.

Houston

Good news, they avoid the bottom.  Not much else is positive in Houston at the moment.

32.

Richmond

Not much to report in Richmond.  They’re struggling and it’s clear to everyone.  They’ll need to make something happen next year.
